Scientists Warn That The Earth Is Unprotected From Random Asteroids Which May Wipe Out Humanity!

While the whole world is grieving with what happened in Aleppo, experts claim that we are actually facing bigger troubles as a random asteroid or comet can wipe down all humanity instantly.

Although no dangerously large asteroids or comets are threatening to enter the earth as of the moment, researchers claim that they can collide with our planet at any moment. Dr. Joseph Nuth, a researcher from NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center said that “The biggest problem, basically, is there’s not a hell of a lot we can do about it at the moment,”

Nonetheless, he assured everyone in his speech during the annual meeting of American Geophysical Union that although we are vulnerable to these killer asteroids, they are quite rare. “But on the other hand they are the extinction-level events, things like dinosaur killers, they’re 50 to 60 million years apart, essentially. You could say, of course, we’re due, but it’s a random course at that point,” he said.

He also pointed out that sending a spacecraft into the outer space usually takes 5 years, and this is the only way to better monitor any sneaky asteroid that might be on his way. There isn't enough time to ensure human survival if we do not have the ability to monitor the outer space. Dr Nuth suggested the idea of a rocket in storage which will be ready to launch which “could mitigate the possibility of a sneaky asteroid coming in from a place that’s hard to observe, like from the sun.”

Another suggestion from a scientist named Dr. Cathy Plesco from Los Alamos National Laboratory proposed a 'kinetic impactor or cannonball' “Cannonball technology is actually very good technology; intercepting an object at high speed actually ends up being more effective than high explosives," she said.

Both of them pushes for technology which can better protect us from external threats.
