GUESS WHO: Unknown Donor Gives P1B To Military Hospitals

President Rodrigo Duterte said last Saturday that an unknown donor donated P1 Billion for the development of the medical facilities of the military.

In a speech at Camp Melchor Dela Cruz in Gamu Isbela last Saturday, President Rodrigo Duterte confirmed that an unknown donor donated P1 Billion for the development of the medical facilities of the military. He said that the funds will be used a new hospital in Jolo, Sulu, Davao City.

“I’d like to mention it to you now for the first time: Somebody is giving us P1 Billion. In Davao, there is a hospital. We will complete it. But if necessary, I will prioritize Jolo first. I will put the hospital with operating room there.”

“Somebody is giving us but he does not want to mention his name. But someday, maybe, it will leak,” he added.

By August, Duterte will allot P500 million for acquiring medical equipment for soldiers.

He specified the need for presidential planes that will be used as air ambulance for soldiers that are wounded while on duty.

“I’ll give that up. I haven’t use that. I say, use those [presidential lanes] for ambulances. For those who need to be rushed to the hospital in Manila, they can be easily transferred there.”
